How To Use TAK ICU

TAK ICU allows users to broadcast video from their EUDs front or back camera to any teammate on the field connected to GoTAK.

  1. Open ATAK on your EUD.

  2. Tap the hamburger menu on the top right

  3. Select Plugins –
    TAK ICU – Install (requires ATAK APK from ATAK website)

  4. Go through the installation process

  5. Once installed open the app TAK ICU (separate from ATAK)

  6. Hit allow to all of the following prompts

  7. Swipe down from the top or press the Settings menu

  8. Open the Settings menu via the gear icon

  9. Tap Broadcast Preferences

10.  Set the following:

a. Destination type: Wowza Server

b. Broadcast alias:        Enter callsign with no spaces

c. Wowza Server IP:     TAK TEAM URL

d. Wowza Server Port: 8554

11.  Exit the menu by pressing the Gear icon at the top or hitting back

12.  Press the Red record button and this will broadcast your video live

13.  On the Bottom left you will see a Green server connection status
