Adding the map files to ATAK

  • Download the maps from getgotak.com/maps
  • Open up ATAK
  • Tap the hamburger icon in top right

  • Tap Import

  • Browse to where the ATAK-Maps-zip file was downloaded

  • If asked for Suggested Import Strategy, Select Use in Place

  • Tap the tri-fold icon in the toolbar

  • Make sure you are in the mobile tab and select the map source you want to use for online use

  • To Download maps for offline use go tap the arrow next to Online

  • Tap Select Area and choose what method of selection you want to use

  • When your area is selected you can adjust how detailed you want the imagery to be then select download

  • When that is done you can toggle the online bar to offline and you will see the imagery you just made

  • To change iTAK maps first open iTAK
  • Tap the settings icon

  • Tap Map Source

  • Choose the map to use

  • On WinTAK you will need to unzip the contents into the imagery folder
  • On your PC Desktop you should see a WinTAK imagery folder

  • Open that folder and drag the contents of the Atak-Maps.zip file into it

  • Open WinTAK
  • Click the Tri-fold icon on toolbar

  • Select the map source you prefer

  • To download for offline use click the Download button and select your preferred selection method

  • Choose your quality, name your imagery, and select ok

  • Once downloaded you can toggle the online bar to off to see your imagery
