The mesh-enabled off-grid EUD. A 6-watt VHF/UHF module lives inside the device — analog and digital, plain or encrypted DMR — so a team of RAVENs talks to each other with nothing attached to anything. They mesh. They're cross-compatible with the radio systems your team already runs. And ATAK drives all of it — channel, PTT voice, and the map in one interface.

The only EUD with the radio built in.
Every other EUD needs something bolted on to reach past the cell network — a handheld on your chest, a cable, a dongle, a license key. RAVEN carries a 6-watt VHF/UHF module inside the device: analog and digital, plain or encrypted DMR, and cross-compatible with the radio systems your team already runs.
Which is why a team of RAVENs is a net on its own. Hand them out and they talk to each other encrypted, over DMR, with nothing attached to anything. Off-grid isn't the fallback here — it's the default state.

A team of RAVENs is the network.
Three RAVENs, three operators, and that's the whole system. Each one hears the other two directly on its own 6-watt module — encrypted DMR, plain analog, whatever the channel calls for — with no phone tethered to a handheld, no cable, no repeater, no tower, and nothing to subscribe to. Add a fourth device and the net gets bigger; that's all the setup there is.

Digital DMR with encryption runs off RAVEN's own module — no paired handheld, no gateway box, no key to license. Fit the antenna, pick a channel in ATAK, and you're on.
Every node hears every node.
RAVENs work each other directly rather than through a hub, so there's no single box whose loss takes the net down. Every operator you add is another node on it.
Analog, digital, and other systems.
Because it does analog as well as digital, RAVEN drops onto nets your team already runs — the UV-PRO lineup and other radio systems — and a RADIO MANPACK relay stretches the whole thing at 50 watts.
And it isn't a closed net.
RAVENs meshing with each other is the floor, not the ceiling. Because the module runs analog as well as digital, a RAVEN drops straight onto the channel your team is already working — a BTECH UV-PRO paired to a phone through the Radio Relay plugin, a bare handheld carrying nothing but voice, or a RADIO MANPACK up on the high ground repeating the whole net at 50 watts. Nobody re-buys radios to bring RAVENs in.

RAVENs, UV-PRO handhelds with a paired EUD, and handhelds running voice only all sit on the same net. What each operator carries is a kit decision, not a compatibility problem.

Add one RAVEN to an existing team and it works day one. Add ten and the mesh comes with them — the radios already in your hands keep doing exactly what they did.
Put a relay on the high ground.
The RADIO MANPACK hears the net and rebroadcasts it at 50 watts, so RAVENs and handhelds alike reach as far as the node does — over the ridge and across the valley.
Everything runs from ATAK.
The map is the radio. Channel, power, and squelch live in the same interface as your overlays and your team — no second UI, no thumbing through a handheld's menu with gloves on. PTT voice keys from the hardware button, a Bluetooth PTT, or a hand mic; the plugin repository covers hardware PTTs, hand mics, and traditional military, NATO, and PoC audio, pulled down over the air.
Which means the thing you look at in the dark is the only thing you have to operate.
