Built around the BTECH UV-50PRO: a 50-watt repeater that extends every handheld on your net, an APRS gateway, and ATAK situational awareness on a shared live map. No towers, no internet, no subscription — assembled to work the moment it comes out of the pack.
Assembled by GoTAK — a U.S. defense-technology company fielding TAK situational-awareness systems with military, federal, and allied teams since 2022. The Armoloq frame, Iron Spear antenna, and Eberlestock pack are U.S.-made — name-brand components, not anonymous parts.
A handheld only reaches as far as the terrain lets it.
When the towers are down — or were never there — your net is whatever your radios can reach on their own, and ridgelines, timber, and distance kill a 5-watt handheld fast. A repeater fixes that for everyone at once: put the MANPACK on high ground, run it from the truck, or carry it forward on the ruck, and it re-transmits everything it hears at 50 watts. Every handheld on the net suddenly reaches as far as the node does.

Give every teammate a BTECH UV-PRO handheld paired to the phone in their pocket — the Radio Relay ATAK plugin puts each of them on a shared live map. The MANPACK — in the truck or up on the high ground — relays every position and message at 50 watts, with its own EUD paired right at the node. A self-contained ATAK mesh over plain radio — no towers, no internet, no subscription.
Radio meets phone.
Each UV-PRO handheld tethers to its owner's phone over Bluetooth. The Radio Relay ATAK plugin turns that phone into an EUD — live map, positions, messaging. Five lifetime license keys come with every MANPACK, so the whole team is covered.
Data rides the RF.
Positions and messages travel over the same radio waves as your voice, station to station. No cell service touches any of it.
The MANPACK lifts the net.
The node hears every station and rebroadcasts at 50 watts — stretching the mesh over the ridge and across the valley.

The MANPACK comes out of years of research and development by Armoloq, with ham radio operator Frosty (callsign K1ICE), and through the development of our Radio Relay ATAK plugin. Every part earned its place, then got wired, fitted, and tuned until the whole kit behaves as one node.

Overbuilt where it matters.
Two parts of this build carry most of the cost — the battery and the frame. They're also the two parts doing the hardest work every time the pack hits the ground. Here's what that money buys.
A cell that's armored, not just installed.
LiFePO₄ is the most stable lithium chemistry you can carry — that's why we start there. The Armoloq MBS adds the other half: a formed-Kydex enclosure that shields the cell from being crushed, punctured, or shorted, so a dropped ruck or a hard toss is a non-event. It takes the hit and keeps running. That armor is most of what you're paying for in the MBS — and it's protecting the one component every other part of the node depends on.
Machined aluminum, made for this radio.
The frame is machined aluminum, custom-built by Armoloq around the UV-50PRO. It cages the radio, carries the antenna and mic, and takes the drop, the tailgate, and the rock while holding its shape — which keeps connectors seated, wiring intact, and the radio protected through hard day after hard day in the field.
This is the radio you're trusting when the towers are down. Every dollar in this build went into one thing: a node that's still working after the first toss — and the hundredth.

Cross-band repeat configured. APRS set. Anderson Powerpole terminations, antenna relocation, frame fitment, TAK pairing — all done. You get a node that works when you take it out of the bag, instead of a weekend of forum threads and a drawer full of the wrong adapters.
