Do I need a satellite plan?+
Yes. Satellite capabilities require a satellite activation. Ask about activation when you request a quote and we will include it.
Does it work with ATAK?+
Yes. With the Somewear Grid ATAK plugin, ATAK's native features work over the Hotspot's satellite link.
Does it work with TAK_OS?+
Yes. The Hotspot is fully compatible with TAK_OS, so satellite positions and messages arrive in the same picture your team is already watching.
How long does the battery last?+
More than 1,000 messages sent or received per charge, or about 12 hours of tracking at one-minute intervals. It charges over USB-C.
Is it waterproof?+
It is rated IP68, water-resistant to 2 m for 30 minutes, and it floats. It also meets MIL-STD-810 for shock and vibration and operates from -4°F to 140°F.
How does it connect to my phone?+
Over Bluetooth Low Energy, so the Hotspot can stay clipped to your plate carrier while you work from your phone.
What is in the box?+
