When will my order ship?+
Each RIDAR is built to order. Please allow 30 business days from the date you place your order for shipment. Orders may ship sooner. This lead time applies to all product variants; delivery transit time is additional.
What do I need to run RIDAR-FM?+
Connect RIDAR-FM over USB-C to an Android EUD running ATAK 5.2 or newer and the RIDAR plugin. The EUD supplies power; the receiver has no internal battery. Antennas and a flat USB-C cable, sized just right for the connection, are included. An EUD is available separately or in a selected mission kit.
Does RIDAR-FM transmit or jam anything?+
RIDAR-FM passively receives broadcasts. It does not jam, take control of drones or interfere with their operation.
Which drones does it detect — and which does it not?+
RIDAR-FM detects compatible Remote ID broadcasts. A drone must be broadcasting a supported signal to appear as a Remote ID track; aircraft without Remote ID, including many FPV and custom-built drones, will not appear that way. Available details depend on the broadcast, including whether the ground location represents the operator or the take-off point.
RIDAR-FM also detects Wi-Fi and Bluetooth emitters. An RF observation alone does not identify an emitter as a drone. For ADS-B aircraft reception, choose RIDAR-U.
How does spoof detection work?+
RIDAR evaluates signal and track characteristics on-device to flag potentially spoofed or inconsistent contacts. Treat these indicators as supporting information when assessing a detection.
Does it work offline?+
Local reception and on-device analysis work without an internet connection. Download the maps you need before deployment. Team sharing requires a suitable connection between your TAK devices.
How does my team see the detections?+
Share detections as CoT through your configured TAK network. Teammates need the appropriate TAK connection to receive them; availability depends on your network, mesh or radio setup.
How to setup an EUD to be a sensor+
About two minutes per phone. In RIDAR, switch Live RF (EUD) on. In Android, grant ATAK Location (Precise) and Nearby devices, then turn on Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Location. Finally turn Wi-Fi scan throttling off in Developer options — the step most operators miss, and the one that takes Wi-Fi Remote ID from one sweep every 30 seconds to full rate.
