MAAK Mobile Desktop
Why the Mobile Desktop
The command post used to mean a laptop bolted to the console — one more thing to boot, cable, and baby. The Mobile Desktop makes the EUD the computer: drop it into the ^Forge Case cradle^ and a full ^desktop takes over the monitor^ — keyboard, windowed apps, ^CAC login^ — then it pops back out in seconds when you dismount.

Mount up
Docked in seconds. Undocked just as fast.
Seat the EUD to bring the desktop up on the monitor; hit the side triggers to pull it and go. No tools, no fuss — the station keeps pace with the crew, not the other way around.
Two ways to run the EUD
In the hand.
Or a full command desk.
The same EUD you carry dismounted becomes a desktop command station the moment it's docked — bigger screen, real keyboard, CAC login — then goes back in your pocket when you step out.
| Dismounted EUD in hand | Docked Mobile Desktop This station | |
|---|---|---|
| Display | The device's own handheld screen. | Full external vehicle monitor in a desktop layout. |
| Input | On-screen touch keyboard. | Rugged physical keyboard with real key travel. |
| Apps | Mobile app, one view at a time. | Windowed desktop mode — apps side by side. |
| CAC / login | Separate adapter or dongle required. | CAC reader integrated into the station. |
| Mounting | Handheld or a simple cradle. | Spring-loaded dock, configurable across vehicles. |
| Transition | Always in the hand. | Dock and undock in seconds via side triggers. |
Same device. A desktop when you're mounted, a phone when you're not.

The questions
crews ask first.
Procurement and integration support direct from sales.
Which EUDs does the Mobile Desktop work with?+
It's built for GoTAK EUDs running in a MAAK Forge Case. The Forge Case seats into the station's spring-loaded cradle; once docked, the EUD switches into desktop mode on the connected monitor.
Do I still need a laptop in the vehicle?+
No — replacing the laptop is the point. Your EUD becomes the computer, driving a full desktop on the vehicle monitor with a physical keyboard and windowed apps.
How does the CAC reader work?+
A Common Access Card reader is integrated into the station, so CAC login happens right at the dock — no separate dongle or adapter hanging off the device.
Can it move between vehicles?+
Yes. The mounting hardware is modular and configurable for a range of platforms, so the same station can be set up across different vehicles.
What happens when we upgrade EUDs?+
The sizing is modular and future-ready — when your device changes, you swap the cradle rather than re-platforming the whole install.
How fast is it to dock and undock?+
Seconds. The cradle is spring-loaded; the EUD seats with a click and releases through side triggers, so mounting and dismounting never holds up the crew.
How do I get pricing?+
The Mobile Desktop is quoted per configuration. Use Request a Quote or email sales@getgotak.com and we'll scope it to your vehicles and devices.
