Why the EUD V3
A consumer phone shares everything by default — location, identifiers, telemetry, all of it, silently. The EUD V3 is built to share ^nothing^: hardened GrapheneOS with the cellular modem ^isolated from the OS^, a duress PIN that ^destroys every key^ if the device is ever taken, and ATAK with the GoTAK plugin suite ^installed before it ships^.

GrapheneOS enforces strict application sandboxing — each app operates in its own isolated environment, restricted from interacting with other apps or accessing sensitive system resources without explicit user consent.

The cellular modem is a black box.
Cellular modems run outside the OS on closed-source firmware, in their own execution environment, with persistent network exposure whenever they're on. On most phones the modem is inherently trusted with direct memory access.
The EUD V3 response
The modem is treated as untrusted hardware.
The EUD V3 hardware-isolates the cellular modem from the application processor, so a compromised baseband has no path into OS or app memory.

GrapheneOS is designed for real-world hostile scenarios — digital and physical. A pre-configured duress PIN triggers an irreversible process that destroys all hardware keystore keys, disk encryption keys, and eSIMs, then shuts the device down.

Once unlocked, most phones become dramatically easier to extract from. Commercial forensic tools read active memory, capture running services, and exploit the expanded post-unlock window.

The EUD V3 shrinks After-First-Unlock exposure — the window where decryption keys live in memory. Automatic reboot intervals return the device to the locked Before-First-Unlock state, the safest a device can be.

Default smartphone permissions grant apps broad access to microphones, cameras, GPS, and the network. Most users never audit them. Apps routinely collect and transmit far beyond their stated function.

GrapheneOS provides per-app control over network connectivity, file access, and every device sensor. Cut an app off from the internet entirely, or deny it the microphone and accelerometer, with one toggle.

The EUD V3 ships with ATAK and the plugins GoTAK builds for it — tools for the operator's health, the map, the drone above, the transmitter over the hill, and the moment data fails.
Heart rate and vitals from Garmin and Samsung smartwatches, on the ATAK map beside everything else and shared to the team as CoT — so a leader sees the condition of every operator, not just their position.
Past a few hundred markers a COP stops being a picture. Clusters collapses colliding markers into counted, colour-graded groups by screen position, so the terrain comes back and the count shows where the activity is. Nothing is deleted; zoom in or tap and the members return.
Every drone around you on the ATAK map in seconds — the aircraft, where the pilot is standing, and whether the signal is real. Reads FAA Remote ID off the air, passive and RX-only, and shares every detection with the whole team.
Turns the KrakenSDR receiver into an ATAK sensor. Direction-of-arrival bearings, the power lobe, and RSSI-coloured breadcrumbs draw on the map, every reading tightens a running estimate of where the emitter is, and it all goes out as CoT.
Encrypted Cursor-on-Target over SMS and MMS — the lowest-bandwidth transport in tactical comms. ATAK keeps working on direct-to-cell satellite and every cellular generation down to 2G, with no data connection at all.

Can I use the EUD V3 as my everyday phone?+
Yes. It's a full smartphone — calls, messages, and any app you want to install — plus the complete TAK OS platform: CORTEX, Overwatch, RIDAR drone detection, SOOTHSAYER RF modeling, AOIs, and WARDEN device management. GrapheneOS runs Android apps natively, including a sandboxed, zero-privilege compatibility layer for apps that expect Google Play Services.
What is CORTEX, and how is it different from a generic AI chatbot?+
CORTEX is the cognitive layer of TAK OS — an agentic tactical advisor that runs on your EUD V3 with first-class TAK awareness. It can call tools (live KML overlays, threat graphs, WARDEN device status), bridge ATAK GeoChat conversations into its context, render inline maps, video, PDFs, and CoT bundles, and compose live dashboards on demand. It runs on pre-paid tokens, so there are no API keys to manage.
Can I model RF coverage from the device?+
Yes. SOOTHSAYER ships pre-loaded and is integrated into the Overwatch map. Drop a transmitter, pick a radio template — Silvus, TrellisWare, Harris AN/PRC, goTenna, Beartooth, or a custom build from a datasheet — and get a real-terrain coverage heatmap, a point-to-point link margin in dB, or a multisite composite, directly on the tactical map.
Which carriers does it work with?+
All of them. Every EUD V3 is carrier unlocked — Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Mint, Google Fi, Vodafone, Orange, Movistar, or any other carrier worldwide. Dual SIM slots let you run two carriers at once, and our eSIM solution activates service in minutes. The only carriers we recommend avoiding are MVNOs that refuse out-of-network devices, such as Total Wireless.
Can I use it outside the US?+
Yes. Carrier unlocked means globally unlocked, and we ship to most countries with insured global transport. There are no import restrictions or usage regulations attached to the device.
Does it work with my mesh network?+
Yes. Out of the box the EUD V3 supports traditional mesh networks from Silvus, MPU5 and others, plus Beartooth MKII, goTenna Pro X2, and Meshtastic-based off-grid solutions. Grid down is no longer a factor for live mapping, tracking, voice, or UAS telemetry.
Can I manage a fleet of EUD V3 devices remotely?+
Yes. WARDEN MDM is built into TAK OS. Enroll devices from a QR code in device-owner mode, push policies that control the launcher, kiosk apps, network restrictions, and security settings, and issue lock, wipe, ring, or reboot commands that land in roughly three seconds. A full audit log is included.
What happens if the device is taken?+
You have a safe exit. Entering the pre-configured duress PIN irreversibly destroys all hardware keystore keys, disk encryption keys, and eSIMs, then powers the device down — leaving nothing to extract. Between unlocks, automatic reboots return the device to its most protected state, shrinking the window commercial forensic tools depend on.
How long does shipping take?+
Standard orders ship within 3–5 business days via UPS with 2–3 day delivery. Larger field kits are built to order and can take 7–30 days depending on configuration and stock. Expedited military procurement is available — contact sales.
Is the EUD V3 NDAA compliant?+
Yes. GoTAK devices are NDAA Section 889 compliant with no chips, modems, or components from banned vendors. TAA-compliant configurations and compliance documentation are available on request — email sales@getgotak.com.

Because every device is custom-provisioned and built to order, all sales are final — we don't offer refunds or returns.
