Why Base Case
Working away from the desk has meant working small — one laptop screen, or a 13-inch extender clipped to the side of it. Base Case refuses the compromise. It packs ^two 24-inch 4K displays^, a power and I/O hub, and a locking brief case into a case that rolls through the airport, then stands up a ^full command position in under sixty seconds^ on whatever surface you find. ^One USB-C cable^ drives both screens and charges the machine.

Wherever the position is
The desk goes with you.
Hotel room, incident command post, hangar, EOC, jobsite trailer, RV. Roll it in, open it, plug in one cable. The screens you work on are the screens you brought.
Two ways to work off the desk
A screen clipped to a laptop.
Or the whole position, in a case.
Portable extender screens buy you a little more room and cost you setup time, cable clutter and posture. Base Case brings the office display estate with you and stands it up in a minute.

The questions
buyers ask first.
Procurement and integration support direct from sales.
Does it work with a Mac?+
Yes. Base Case drives both displays from a MacBook on Apple silicon — M1, M2, M3 and M4 — through the DisplayLink Manager app. It is a one-time install of about two minutes. Windows PCs use the DisplayLink driver the same way.
How long does setup actually take?+
Under a minute. Open the case, swing the displays out, extend the telescoping legs to one of three heights, and plug a single USB-C cable into your machine. Takedown is the same in reverse.
Will it fit in an overhead bin?+
Yes — the case is 22.75″ × 14″ × 5″ and falls within carry-on dimensions on most US airlines. Base Case is not a ruggedized product in its current form, so we recommend carrying it on rather than checking it.
Does it have a battery?+
No internal battery. It runs from wall power, and third-party portable power stations will run it for several hours — budget roughly 180W per hour with a laptop attached and charging.
Can I run two machines into it?+
Yes. There are two video inputs, one per display. Drive both screens from a single machine with two video cables, or give each screen its own machine.
What is QuadZilla mode?+
Two Base Case units stacked, giving four 24″ 4K displays from the same sixty-second deployment. Select the Quadzilla 4K/UHD setup above and the order ships as a stacked pair.
Is there a TAA-compliant version?+
Yes. A TAA-compliant configuration is available for federal, defense and government procurement. Email sales@getgotak.com with your requirement and we will scope and quote it.
What is the warranty and return policy?+
One-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects, display defects beyond industry pixel thresholds, electronics failures and mechanical defects under normal use. A two-year extended plan is available. Base Case also carries a 30-day risk-free trial — run it in your real workflow and send it back within 30 days for a full refund if it does not change how you work.
Who do I contact for support?+
GoTAK is an authorized Base Case distributor and supports the units we sell. Reach us at sales@getgotak.com for orders, quotes, volume, TAA and program pricing.
