Start with a software baseline designed around control. The V3 runs hardened GrapheneOS, with app sandboxing and granular permissions that let your team decide what each application can access. It is the choice for operations where removing Google services is part of the requirement.

What is an EUD?

An end-user device, or EUD, is the phone or handheld computer an operator uses to view maps, share position, and access mission tools. In a TAK deployment, it is the device running ATAK in the field.

GoTAK EUDs arrive with ATAK and GoTAK tools preloaded. The right choice depends on your required apps, security policy, screen size, and how you keep the device powered during a shift.

Is the EUD V3 fully de-Googled?

Yes. GoTAK ships the EUD V3 with GrapheneOS and without Google services. GrapheneOS itself supports optional sandboxed Google Play, but adding it changes that de-Googled configuration. Keep the deployed setup aligned with your team’s security policy.

Does the EUD S26U have 12GB or 16GB of RAM?

The 256GB Galaxy S26 Ultra configuration listed by GoTAK has 12GB of RAM. Samsung offers other memory configurations in some markets; a 16GB specification should not be assumed for this EUD. RAM is working memory, while 256GB is storage for apps, maps, and files.

Which EUD has the largest screen?

The EUD S26U has the largest screen of the EUDs in this guide: a 6.9-inch display. The X7P has a 6.6-inch display. Choose S26U when map visibility and space for demanding workflows are your priority.

How does FALCON compare with EUD V2?

Both are rugged options for outdoors and preparedness. V2 is the entry-level choice with infrared night vision and a 6,600mAh battery. FALCON adds a FLIR thermal camera alongside infrared night vision and increases battery capacity to 10,600mAh, about 60% more. Battery capacity does not translate directly into the same increase in runtime.

Who is the S23 Tactical Edition for?
