Radio Relay ATAK Plugin
Every capability, tested in the field.
Radio Integration
Bridges all in-range radios onto your off-grid EUD with options to relay over TAK servers and MANET, displaying positions as virtual contacts visible to every operator on the team.
Two-Way CoT Marker Sync
Relays CoT data — markers, routes, contacts — between off-grid ATAK EUDs and TAK Servers, LAN, and MANET. Syncs Meshtastic, trackers, and TAK Server contacts back to the radio network.
MYCELIUM Mesh Networking
Self-healing mesh layer that auto-links every in-range radio into one resilient network. Individual nodes drop, the mesh rebuilds — TAK Server sees every leg, and operators stay on net even when the link to HQ goes dark.
Two-Way Chat Bridge
Facilitates text-based GeoChat conversations between radio-equipped operators and TAK-only users. No translation layer, no message loss, no format drift.
EUD Gateway
Every EUD acts as the gateway between the radio mesh and ATAK. Bridge multiple deployed networks, federate to allied teams, or run Network-Only when isolated — the operator's device is the bridge into the picture.
Global Repeater Panel
Live repeater data from networks worldwide, pulled directly into the plugin. Search by frequency, callsign, or proximity — push the selected repeater to your radio in one tap.
See it in action.
Product walkthroughs, operator field reports, and technical deep dives. Run on real hardware, not marketing footage.
Off Grid ATAK Comms Using the BTECH UV-PRO
One self-healing mesh. Every radio.
Every in-range radio auto-links into a self-healing mesh. The EUD operates as the gateway into ATAK — when one node drops, the mesh reroutes around the gap and the rest of the team stays on net.
A network that is the ground itself. A relay layer that grows underneath the operator picture and routes around damage without being asked. MYCELIUM is the relay protocol inside Radio Relay that turns a fleet of DMR or TNC equipped EUDs into a coordinated mesh — every operator extends the network, no infrastructure required.
Why MYCELIUM exists
MYCELIUM skips the repeater. Every EUD is a relay. Five operators along a fireline gives you five overlapping coverage cells, automatically.
What it does
- Flood-and-prune routingno routing tables, no neighbour-discovery handshake, no warm-up. New nodes participate the second they power on.
- Per-priority hop budgetsMAYDAY floods 5 hops, medical / HAIL 4, op traffic 3, routine direct-only. High-priority always reaches further.
- PLI carve-out, 5 hopsposition fixes flood every cycle so sparse teams stay tracked even through choke-points.
- Dedup with TTL32-bit message UIDs catch echoes; the same packet is never delivered or relayed twice.
- Random TX backoffrelayers stagger re-broadcasts so the channel doesn't collapse when many neighbours hear the same packet.
- Battery- and voice-awarebelow ~20% battery, you stop relaying for others (your own packets still go out). Local voice TX/RX pauses relays.
- Life-safety overrideeven on low battery, MAYDAY (P0) and medical (P1) traffic still relays. The mesh never drops a life-safety packet.
- AES-256 end-to-endencryption is per-message, before mesh stamping. Relays forward ciphertext; only endpoints with the key see plaintext.
- Audit logevery received packet's (sender, type, priority, hop) is logged for after-action review.
- Mixed deploymentmesh-enabled and simplex-only nodes interoperate. No flag day. No "you're holding it wrong."
Beyond simplex.
- Plug-and-play coverageTurn on your radio and you're already part of the mesh — extending the network for your team and benefiting from theirs. No pairing, no setup, no neighbour discovery.
- Every operator is a repeaterSimplex stops at line of sight. MYCELIUM doesn't. Each teammate's EUD carries traffic forward, multiplying reach with every operator on net.
- Reach scales with priorityRoutine chatter stays close. Position pings reach further. MAYDAY and medical traffic floods the full mesh. The important things get through — even when terrain says they shouldn't.
- Self-healing by defaultDrop a node, lose a battery, hit a dead zone — the network reroutes around the gap. No commands, no confirmations. Coverage stays whole even when operators don't.
- A breathable channelMost mesh networks flood themselves silent. MYCELIUM doesn't. Overlapping relays cancel before they crash the airwaves — so the channel sounds like simplex but reaches like infrastructure.
- Battery-awareWhen your battery runs low, you stop relaying for others — but never for emergencies. MAYDAY and medical traffic always get through, even on a dying node.
Every repeater on Earth. One click to your radio.
Through our partnership with RepeaterBook, every HAM and GMRS repeater in the worldwide directory is searchable from your EUD. Pick your channels, push to your radio, and you're on net — wherever you operate.
Every APRS station. Live in ATAK.
Pull live APRS-IS stations into ATAK over the internet, set a center and radius, and stream every nearby callsign as a CoT marker. One toggle pushes them to your TAK server or multicast group.
Works with what you already field.
Tested against production ATAK versions and off the shelf radio hardware you already have.

01 / PAIR
Connect plugin to radio via Bluetooth
Launch the plugin in ATAK. Pair with your BTECH radio through the standard Bluetooth dialog. The plugin auto-detects radio model and configures the correct protocol.
-
02 / BROADCAST
Position, markers, and chat route automatically
The plugin pushes CoT markers, GeoChat messages, and position data through the radio network. All nearby radios see each other as virtual contacts on the ATAK map.
-
03 / BRIDGE
TAK Server relays to the rest of the force
The gateway EUD syncs the radio network's data up to TAK Server and out to any operator in Network-Only Mode — headquarters, other sites, any team element that needs the picture.
Operational in under 10 minutes.

2
Install the plugin
Download the BTECH Relay APK from your activation email. Load it on your ATAK EUD through the standard plugin loader.
-
3
Configure your BTECH radio
Set correct channel, power level, and Bluetooth pairing mode. Full settings in the Radio Settings guide.
CH: 1 · PWR: HIGH · BT: ON -
4
Pair the plugin
Open the plugin in ATAK. Tap 'Pair Radio' and select your BTECH device from the Bluetooth list. Confirm pairing on the radio.
-
5
Enter your license key
Paste the key from your activation email. The plugin validates and unlocks all features instantly.

6
Test the bridge
Create a test marker on your ATAK map. A second operator with a BTECH radio and the plugin should see it appear as a virtual contact. If it does, you're operational.

GoTAK EUDs proved invaluable during our mission, providing real-time situational awareness, secure team communication, and geospatial intelligence on the objective. We used it to map out infil/exfil points, track team positions, and maintain live comms.
Since introducing ATAK, my department is looking at EUDs for every officer and SWAT team. A no-code, turnkey option from GoTAK makes equipping a department reasonable, affordable, and possible.
We have acquired EUDs from GoTAK, deployed on a platoon level in a Tier 1 Special Forces unit of a European country. These devices have consistently demonstrated reliability and ease of use in the most demanding environments.
