UV-PRO MANPACK

A deployable cross-band repeater — in the truck, in the ruck, to the field. Built around the BTECH UV-50PRO: 50 watts of range extension for your whole net, an APRS gateway, and a bridge into TAK — assembled to work the moment it comes out of the pack.

Why a repeater node

A handheld only reaches as far as the terrain lets it.

Ridgelines, timber, and distance kill a 5-watt handheld fast. A repeater fixes that for everyone at once: put the MANPACK on high ground, run it from the truck, or carry it forward in the ruck, and it hears your team on one band and re-transmits at 50 watts on the other. Every handheld on the net suddenly reaches as far as the node does.

You could source these parts yourself. The hard part was never buying them — it's the wiring, the fitment, and the hours of making them behave as one node. We did that part.

Voice is half the picture. TAK is the other half.

Paired with the Radio Relay ATAK plugin, the node doesn't just repeat your team's voice — it puts position and text traffic onto a shared map. Everyone running TAK sees everyone else, on a phone, a tablet, or a laptop. No cell service, no internet, no infrastructure required.
