Introducing the GPS Jam Heatmap
During a recent consultation OCONUS, our team encountered significant GPS interference. GPS signals were being spoofed, disrupted, or completely jammed within our operational region. Unfortunately, existing free tools on the internet did not provide a practical way to visualize this data directly within ATAK, nor did they offer exportable overlays such as KML or KMZ files.
Driven by necessity, we developed our own GPS Jam Heatmap. Our algorithm integrates multiple data points from live open-source datasets to our own deployed sensors.
We are now making this heatmap freely available, covering regions across the Middle East and parts of Europe.
